Algonquin Park

Visiting Algonquin Park can be a great experience. Hiking the trails, canoe or kayaking the lakes and rivers, camping and cooking. If you want to experience the breath taking beauty of Mother Nature at her finest, but perhaps are not up to sleeping in a tent on the ground, then Kearney Cabin is perfect for you.

There are several access points to Algonquin Park that are an easy drive to get to. Keep in mind that some roads are not maintained in the winter.

34 minute drive to Tim River Access Point

35 minute drive to Rain Lake Access Point

48 minutes to the Magnetawan Access Point

56 minutes to the Algonquin Provincial Park West Gate.

61 minutes to the Kawawaymog Access Point.

Don’t forget to visit the Algonquin Base Camp in Kearney to purchase your day pass before you go.

Think of it, you can spend your day enjoying all that Algonquin has to offer and then come pack to the Kearney Cabin and cook on a stove, use the facilities in comfort, take a shower or bath, wash your clothes if needed, protected from the elements and bugs, and then sleep in a comfy bed. Next day you can wake up and do it all again!  With the Smoke Lake Access Point and the Source Lake Access Point just a little past the West Gate,  you can come for a week and visit a different access point every day!
