Snowmobile Trails

Kearney is very welcoming to snowmobiles and the Kearney Cabin sits just off the trails. You can park your car or truck and ride the trails from the front door. The large driveway offers lots of room for vehicle and trailer. We do ask that you do not ride your snowmobile on the property so as not to damage the well or septic system which may be unseen under the snow. The trails will offer many routes to choose from including access to Algonquin Park.

Snowmobile Districts and Trail Associations

Due to the location of Kearney, the surrounding trails are part of a few districts and associations. These include the Near North Trail Association (www.nnta.ca), The Parry Sound Snowmobile District 10 (facebook.com/ParrySoundSnowmobileDistrict), and the Ontario Federation Of Snowmobile Clubs District 7 (www.ofscdistrict7.com). Here are the contact details for each district: www.ofsc.on.ca/find-your-district

The Ice Caves

One of the most popular snowmobile trails leads to the Ice Caves. They are located east of Kearney, 18km from Sand Lake on AL301. The caves are located on the east end of the lake in a small bay. Being on the border of Algonquin park you must keep your eyes out for deer, moose, and wolf among many other wildlife.
