Sleigh Ride
There is just something about a horse drawn sleigh ride through the snow. It is magical, beautiful, romantic, exciting, and fun for the whole family. If you want to go on a sleigh ride, there are 2 farms nearby that offer it. Please make sure you contact them before hand to make sure they are open and that they have room for you.
Thunder Ridge Farm

Get a private sleigh ride for you and your family. They offer a 1-1/2 hour sleigh ride on 50 acres of trails with a stop at their beautiful cabin for hot coco and a bonfire to warm up! Their sleigh holds up to 12 to 14 people depending on age and size so bring the entire family. The cost is $200 for the sleigh ride regardless of number of people.
Want a private sleigh ride for 2? They will take 2 people on a shorter 45 minute ride for $100. No bonfire but you still get your hot coco.
No walk-ins so please book at least a few days in advance for the best chance of getting the time you want.
Their Facebook page was started in November 2021 so lower numbers of likes and reviews is more due to the page being new. They do have a five start review on Google.
Wheeler Farms – formerly DG Farms

Wheeler Farms has private sleigh rides for couples as well, offered on a cutter sleigh (Looks like a small Santa’s sleigh). Couples sleigh rides last 40 minutes, includes hot chocolate and costs $100. Larger sleigh rides are $150 for under 10 people, $200 for 10 to 14 people, and $300 for 15 to 20 people (20 being the maximum per sleigh)
They tend to book up pretty quickly around the Christmas Holidays, but otherwise don’t need much notice. They book after 4:30pm during the week and any time on weekends. All rides are weather permitting so as long as there is enough snow you can enjoy the sleigh ride..
Wheeler Farms not only offers sleigh rides in the winter but you can book the venue for your wedding as well. They have been on Facebook since at least 2017 and have over 2,400 likes with a five star rating.
Hammond Family Ranch – Closed

This family operated farm use to offer sleigh rides but unfortunately retired in 2022. So why are we including them in this list? Many people gave them great reviews so you may hear them recommended by locals or past visitors. As mentioned though, as of November 2022 they are no longer offering sleigh rides.
North Ridge Ranch Dog Sledding Tours
While not your typical sleigh ride, this experience can be a lot of fun for those more adventurous guests. They fit one person sitting on the sled and the other riding it. You read that right – you will have your own sled! The guide has their own sled leading the group. If you have small children they may be able to double up the kids with one parent. They do not offer solo sled rides though. A half day tour will cost $279 per adult while a one hour tour will be $189 per adult. Check their website for more details.
